Registration for this field trip closed on September 17th.

Join us on Sept 20th aboard the Lake Lanier Floating Classroom from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. You’ll learn more about CRK’s work from the Riverkeeper, Jason Ulseth. The Georgia Master Gardeners Association has been invited by the Riverkeeper to learn about the lake, the river system and the techniques used to monitor the ecosystem. Takeaways include how to continue protecting local streams and the watershed from pollution as well as the importance of water conservation in a changing climate. Please plan to arrive by 12:30 PM. Participants are encouraged to bring their own beverage and lunch/snacks.

  • Safety Details: All participants will be provided a life jacket for the duration of the cruise.

  • Registration closes on September 17th and the trip is limited to 30 people (including spouses). Spouses must register separately. You can bring your spouse if he/she is a Friend of GA Master Gardeners or Master Gardener.

  • Field Trips are only open to current members of the Georgia Master Gardeners Organization. To check your current Membership status, go to our Common Questions page and follow Item #4.
