ATHENS: Companion Plants for Orchids By the Northeast Georgia Orchid Society

Free. In nature, orchids occur alongside a wonderful variety of other amazing plants. Many of these are easy to grow with the same kinds of supplies and conditions, so we call them “companion plants.” Imagine lovely airplants, antplants, and even tropical blueberries within your orchid collection! NGOS President Kevin Tarner will tour members through the UGA Plant Biology Greenhouse teaching collection and highlight new and exciting companion plants you can easily grow at home. Please bring any plants you would like to show or that you have questions about. For more information, email northeastgaorchidsociety@gmail.com. Horticultural Complex, State Botanical Garden of Georgia, 2450 South Milledge Avenue, Athens, GA.
