The Kendeda Center at Georgia Tech, 422 Ferst Dr., NW, Atlanta GA. Open to all Fulton County Master Gardeners. The meeting will begin with a presentation on butterflies by Phil Delestrez, who is one of Georgia's top butterfly experts, and a biologist and park ranger with the DNR, managing the Northern Resources of Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites. After the speaker, the new Master Gardener interns will be recognized along with other milestone makers, followed by lunch and a tour of the Kendeda building and grounds. The Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design is the first Living Building Challenge-certified project in the Southeast, it represents the pinnacle of green building achievements worldwide. Unlike traditional green buildings that focus on reducing harm, The Kendeda Building is regenerative, meaning it gives back more than it consumes. Paid parking is available in the visitor lot at the intersection of State St. and Ferst Dr. RSVP for lunch to gabrielle.latora@uga.edu or norlethia.harris@uga.edu
