NE GA Food Bank Teaching Kitchen, 46 Plaza Way, Clayton, GA 30525. Learn how to preserve the bounty from your vegetable garden (or your local produce stand) this summer! Susie Medina, Banks County Extension Coordinator, will give a discussion and demo of water-bath canning, and answer your questions. Canning safety and how-to tips for success will be included. Canning safety flyers will be available to take home. There will be a drawing for door prizes too! “Price” of admission: Bring non-perishable food items as a donation to the Food Bank (such as: 1-2 canned goods, or 1-2 boxes of mac and cheese, cereal, or similar, per person).
