In this hands-on workshop, homeowners will gain knowledge about native plants and be taught the technique of winter sowing, which involves exposing seeds to cold conditions outdoors to mimic natural stratification. They will also learn how to construct an outdoor growing container specifically designed to facilitate the cold stratification process for seeds that require it, allowing them to germinate successfully come spring. This program will be led by our own Certified Fayette County Master Garden Extension Volunteer Charlane Hemphill. Registration is limited to 20 participants. Free program: however, registration is REQUIRED! Bring garden gloves. No walk-ins. Register online @ https://tinyurl.com/nativesow, Fayette County Extension
