Lumpkin County Parks & Rec, 365 Riley Road, Dahlonega. Join us for a talk on Monarch butterflies and the role Georgia plays in their lifecycle and migration. Becky Griffin from the UGA Georgia Mountain Research & Education Center will talk about this increasingly rare butterfly and ways we can protect their habitat. Populations of eastern Monarchs have declined by 80% since the 1990’s. Sponsored by Georgia Mountains Master Gardeners, it is free and open to the public.
