This past summer our guest speaker, Eric Marlowe, ANR Extension Agent for Gwinnett County, went to Morocco for a short study in the form of a Comparative Agriculture class. He partnered with the National Agriculture School of Meknes. His role on the trip was threefold: He was an Extension Agent representing UGA in an international capacity, a mentor assigned to undergraduate students, and he got to take classes as a graduate student with full credit. He also toured various agricultural operations throughout the country–everything from livestock to organic farming in the oasis to saffron production. GCMGA meetings are free and open to the public.
