ONLINE: Growing Mushrooms at Home

Growing your own mushrooms is a rewarding way to produce fresh, nutrient-rich fungi while exploring sustainable gardening techniques. Lisa Klein with UGA Extension Gwinnett will introduce you to the basics of mushroom cultivation, including selecting the right species, growing medium, and environmental conditions for success. Learn about low-maintenance methods, such as growing mushrooms in containers or using logs and straw, as well as tips for harvesting and troubleshooting common issues. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced mushroom farmer, this session will provide practical steps to cultivate delicious mushrooms in your own space!
