This year’s conference is being hosted by the Georgia Master Gardeners Association in Macon, Georgia. The theme for the conference is "Gardening in Georgia, Trick or Treat?" Speakers include, Dr. Carol Bokros - Why native plants are important to include in our landscaping, Dr. Heather Cutway - Conserving Georgia’s Rare Wildflowers-Is your garden helping or hurting? Dr. Laura Ney - The Role Bats Play in Controlling the Insect Population, Edward Morrow, certified Arborist - Tree Care Prescriptions for Community Enhancement, and to bring all things together, Jenks Farmer, the featured speaker. Jenks Farmer is a South Carolina plantsman, garden designer, and author, known for his work in establishing botanical gardens and his unique approach to gardening, particularly with Crinum lilies. Jenks will be selling his latest book, Secrets of Southern Gardening.
