FAYETTEVILLE: Native Plants: Selection, Propagation, Culture and Beneficial Insect Visitors

In this program, we will explore native perennials, shrubs, and trees in a fun and engaging way. In addition to lectures, we’ll visit a research field, do hands-on propagation, and learn to recognize common beneficial insects. You will walk away with the knowledge on how to be successful in your own garden and with the confidence to host a diverse array of desirable winged visitors. You will also take home your first insect collection! This program will take place on the UGA Griffin campus. Specific details will be provided to all registrants. Transportation is not provided. Please bring a lunch. The program fee of $65 includes the Georgia Native Plants Book, handouts, propagation materials for you to take home native plants, a small insect collection starter, and light refreshments. Registration is IN PERSON ONLY at the Fayette Extension office, 140 Stonewall Avenue West, Suite #209. There is no onsite registration. Only 10 SPOTS AVAILABLE! Fayette County Extension
